Found Sound Experimentation :D

Little Man is so active these days, pretty much I just have to stop and play with him or watch him play most of the times. Gee, stop and play with my little boy who's growing up way too fast? Twist my rubber arm . . . :D

Anyway, lately he's been experimenting a lot with sounds. It's so neat to watch him discover new stuff:

*RAWR* I'm a dinosaur

There's a bit of an echo in that bit of hallway, so he'll just do these little "ah!" sounds and listen to the echo (he does it in the video). And when he gets tired of that, he'll chew on me :D

Woah, mug feedback

*bong bong bong* ooh sounds cool against my noggin

In other news, we just went to the notary's office today and signed a whack of papers for the house. It sure is looking like we bought a house. What?? No . . .

Grandma Photos and a Bunch of Video

Here are some pictures from my mom's visit (thanks, Cathie):

 Jackson and his grandmas

 Checkin' out grandma's buttons

That boy is motoring along so fast now! He's figured stuff like how to crawl on the slippery laminate floor and how to crawl right up and over something so he can reach it when he sits down. And absolutely everything is a toy. We've taken to giving him safe household objects to play with, so he's always got new stuff to examine. Here's a video of Mr. Jackson doin' his thing:

Just crawlin' around, playin' with stuff

Chasing momma's feet

And here's a picture of the munchkin and his dada ready for a walk:

Okay, this last video might be boring for people who aren't Shawn and me, so if you bore easily then by all means skip it, but I like watching Jackson try to figure out stuff. I scored at Value Village and found one of those bead maze toys for cheap. Here's Little Man playing with it for the first time:

I loved these things as a kid. Heck, I still want to play with the one in the doctor's office!
(I refrain, reluctantly)

Here, Mommy

Wow, it's been a while. I guess we've been busy :D

My mom came up for a visit last week, and it was really great to see her. Unfortunately, Li'l Man had a fever and was feeling rotten for most of her visit, but they had a couple of happy days. But did I remember to take any pictures? No. Duh, I must remember to grab the camera when we have visitors next time.

So what's new this week? For one, Jackson has started the "giving" phase:

Lots of this going on

I am totally in love with this sweet little phase. I will take things all day from him happily. Ha ha, and hey, now there's a 50/50 chance that, instead of putting a sketchy object that we missed in his mouth, he'll give it to us. He also likes to "share" his food with us, although he doesn't usually actually give it to us. He'll hold his hand up with something clenched in his fist, I'll go "nom nom thank you" and then it goes in his mouth. Which is really win-win, and it's sweet all the same.

Also, today he had his first bath by himself (well, with mom poised to catch him) in the big tub:

He's lovin' being out of the Bumbo

Naturally, he wanted to explore

Happy baby!

Also, he's motoring around the house pretty good on those hands and knees, I'll see if I can get some media of that this week. (I would like to shake the hand of whomever invented baby gates. I can't imagine what we would do without them.) There is definitely more baby proofing to be done upstairs. That's okay though, for now I just love watching him motor around anyway, so I will keep rescuing my plants and steering him away from the glass jars until I have the time to do that. He's growing up so darn fast now anyway, might as well enjoy this while it lasts!

Another Quick Nap-time Post

Just some more of Jackson being cute:

Mmm, purple

Look at that monkey child

Grandpa came down on the weekend and watched munchkin while we did yardwork and such. Jackson was a happy monkey pretty much the entire time. Check it out:

And here's a newer cute sleeping baby photo.

So precious
