Cheerios Pics and Green Onion Update

Just a quick little post for those of you who can't get enough of cute messy baby pictures and video. Here ya go:

"Mmm, these things are tasty! What did you call them? Soggy Cheerios? Yum!"

What a sweet face. And look, he has one sock off for easier toe chewing.

Cheerios and strawberries for lunch; that is one messy, happy baby

Oh, and here's an update on those green onions, one month later:

Old green onions limpin' along

As you can see, they're not dead, but they're not doing so hot either. There's a newer bunch in the leftmost vase for comparison. Still, they lasted a month. We didn't exactly go easy on them, either. And they tasted just as nice at the end of the month as they did at the beginning. Actually, the new growth was tastier and more juicy.

Didn't seem to matter whether they were planted in dirt or just in water. They both fared about the same.

Just a Quick Update

Not too much new this week. Jackson is getting better and better at sitting up on his own. I let him sit totally by himself on the futon, so when he gets tired and falls over he won't hurt himself.

Such a big boy. Please ignore that bit of breakfast on the bib.

And on a not-baby-related topic, I haven't seen this before or since but hey, never thought I'd get anything like this on camera:

Sharing the fire. Within 3 feet of each other. Being nice.

And this next one's for all you Harry Potter fans out there (warning: I am about to temporarily turn into a five-year-old kid):

Jealous much??!?? :D :D :D

Yep, that's a REAL Chocolate Frog, from Honeydukes in the new World of Harry Potter attraction from Universal Studios Orlando, courtesy of Brian and Cathie (I think mostly Cathie on this one, she like Harry Potter). Oh, and in case you're wondering, I got Godric Griffindor :D. The card was a hologram, so it didn't photograph well (or maybe it's some kind of interference between magic photos and muggle cameras, not sure which). I also got a Griffindor scarf and some Peppermint Frogs, and Shawn got a toque with the Hogwarts crest.

(Apologies to the non-fans who read this blog. You're probably going "what the . . . ??". Trust me, it's a pretty big deal to the crazy Harry Potter fans out there.)

</geekfest>

Okay, back to pretending to be an adult. I do have a video this week. Nothing special, just Jackson playing with his noisy boat toy, which he loves, and making even more noise, which he likes even more :D

Screech honk splash honk row row row your boat

Mila's Daydreams

I have a few new photos, so I will be doing a new post later once I can download them from the camera, but I wanted to share this with you:

This is from a blog called Mila's Daydreams. It's by a mom in Finland who is off on maternity leave with her babe. She makes these beautiful little pictures of what baby might be dreaming about when she's napping out of regular household items. Aren't they amazing? I mean, how creative is this woman? And when Mila grows up, she'll have all these beautiful photos of her as a baby.
